Manish Nautiyal Appointed as New Chief Information Officer at Santa Clara Family Health Plan

Santa Clara Family Health Plan (SCFHP) is pleased to announce the appointment of Manish Nautiyal as its new Chief Information Officer (CIO), effective February 24, 2025. With over 22 years of experience in healthcare technology, Nautiyal is set to lead the organization’s Information Technology (IT) department, overseeing everything from applications and security to software development and electronic data exchange.

Nautiyal brings a wealth of expertise to SCFHP, having previously served as senior vice president of IT development and infrastructure at Beacon Healthcare Systems in Huntington Beach, California. There, he led strategic technology initiatives that improved operational efficiency and promoted team success. Before that, he held key IT leadership roles at Molina Healthcare in Long Beach, California, for a decade.

“I am thrilled to join the SCFHP team and am eager to contribute to its mission by serving both the members and the community,” said Nautiyal.

A graduate of Agra University, Nautiyal holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering, specializing in computer science. His extensive background in healthcare technology includes implementing AI solutions, overseeing HITRUST certification, and working with QNXT systems. Nautiyal is known for his ability to drive operational improvements while fostering collaborative, high-performing teams.

Nautiyal takes over the CIO role from Jonathan Tamayo, who will retire after serving SCFHP for nearly a decade. Tamayo played a crucial role in supporting SCFHP’s transition to remote work during the pandemic and helped establish many of the organization’s critical technology systems.

“We focused on finding a CIO who could build upon Jonathan’s strong foundation and advance our technology strategy. I am confident that Manish’s leadership will continue to enhance our ability to serve our members and community,” said Christine M. Tomcala, CEO of SCFHP. “I also want to express our gratitude to Jonathan for his years of dedicated service. His retirement marks the culmination of a distinguished career.”

Nautiyal’s appointment marks a new chapter for Santa Clara Family Health Plan IT operations, as he looks to guide the organization toward even greater success in its mission of health for all.
