In a significant leadership development, Honasa Consumer Ltd., the parent entity of personal care brand Mamaearth, has announced that Chief Marketing Officer Anuja Mishra will be stepping down from her role. Her resignation, attributed to personal reasons, will take effect from the close of business hours on June 30, 2025.
The Mamaearth shared the news through a formal filing, including a heartfelt note from Mishra herself:
“Owing to certain personal reasons, I would like to submit my resignation from the position of Chief Marketing Officer at Honasa Consumer Limited, effective closure of business hours on 30th June, 2025.”
Until a new appointment is made, CEO and Whole-Time Director Varun Alagh will temporarily shoulder the responsibilities of CMO, ensuring a seamless transition at the helm of the company’s marketing vision.
Anuja Mishra, who joined the firm in March 2022, played a pivotal role in steering the brand narratives of Mamaearth, BBlunt, and The Derma Co., leaving behind a legacy of purpose-led storytelling and strong consumer engagement.
Her departure comes at a time when the company is realigning several strategic levers. Just this week, Honasa expanded its Employee Stock Option (ESOP) pool, adding 24,61,350 new options worth an estimated Rs 57 crore, signalling long-term intent to retain and reward key talent.
Financially, Honasa reported a 5.9% year-on-year revenue rise for Q3 FY25, bringing in Rs 517 crore, up from Rs 488 crore in Q3 FY24. Despite the growth in topline numbers, the company’s net profit held steady at Rs 26 crore, hinting at a phase of cautious optimism.
While Mamaearth looks to the future with fresh strategies and leadership shifts, Mishra’s exit marks the end of a noteworthy chapter in Mamaearth’s brand journey.
