Maharashtra Partners with ANSR to Launch Navi Mumbai Global Capability Centre

The Government of Maharashtra has joined hands with global enterprise solutions provider ANSR to develop India’s first Global Capability Centre (GCC) City in Navi Mumbai. The project aims to generate high-skill employment and strengthen the state’s talent ecosystem.

Under the partnership, ANSR will lead the design and operational development of the centre, while the Maharashtra government will provide policy support, land allocation, and infrastructure facilitation.

This initiative aligns with Maharashtra’s GCC Policy, which focuses on attracting multinational firms and positioning the state as a hub for technology, innovation, and shared services. The Navi Mumbai centre is expected to create thousands of jobs in sectors such as IT, finance, healthcare, and digital services, with a focus on nurturing local skilled talent.

ANSR, which has assisted over 100 global firms in establishing capability centres in India and abroad, sees this project as a platform to build a world-class ecosystem for enterprise innovation, research, and collaboration between corporates, start-ups, and academic institutions.

By adding Navi Mumbai to Maharashtra’s existing GCC hubs in Mumbai and Pune, the project reinforces the state’s ambition to become a leading destination for knowledge-driven employment. Industry experts believe this move will not only provide new opportunities for local professionals but also set new benchmarks for talent development in India’s corporate services sector.

This collaboration highlights Maharashtra’s commitment to fostering innovation, enhancing job creation, and strengthening its position as a preferred destination for global enterprises.
