Maharashtra Inaugurates Its First Glass Skywalk Over Napne Waterfall in Sindhudurg

Maharashtra has added a major attraction to its tourism map with the launch of its first-ever glass skywalk over the picturesque Napne Waterfall in Sindhudurg district. This latest structure is already drawing visitors for its thrilling experience and scenic beauty, becoming a must-visit destination for nature lovers and adventure seekers.

The new skywalk was inaugurated by regional minister Nitesh Rane as part of the Sindhuratna tourism scheme. Built at a cost of approximately INR 99.63 lakh, the project was announced as a birthday tribute to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. The bridge is now open to the public and has quickly become a popular spot, especially for selfies at the vibrant butterfly sculpture that welcomes visitors at the entrance.

Napne Waterfall is located near Nadhavade village, just 3 km from Vaibhavwadi railway station in the Konkan region. Unlike seasonal waterfalls, Napne flows throughout the year, making it a consistent attraction for tourists. Surrounded by lush forests and rich biodiversity, it is also a favorite among birdwatchers, with chances of spotting hornbills and other exotic species.

The skywalk itself is an impressive engineering structure, made using high-strength transparent glass that allows visitors to look directly at the waterfall rushing below. The design features brightly colored arch-style railings and wooden-style stairs, blending innovation with natural surroundings.

This new skywalk attraction is expected to significantly boost tourism in the region and offer a unique experience for those looking to explore offbeat travel spots near Mumbai. From stunning views to immersive nature, Napne Glass Skywalk promises an unforgettable journey into the heart of Maharashtra’s beauty.
