Lupin Digital Health launches VitaLyfe, an AI-powered cardiometabolic wellness platform for working professionals

Lupin Digital Health, a subsidiary of pharmaceutical company Lupin, has launched VitaLyfe, an AI-powered cardiometabolic wellness platform designed to help working professionals aged 25 to 50 improve their heart health. The platform combines artificial intelligence, behavioural science, and computer-vision technology to detect early health risks and provide personalised recommendations on nutrition, exercise, and stress management.

Sidharth Srinivasan, CEO of Lupin Digital Health, said, “Most cardiac conditions are preventable and lifestyle-driven. We found that while diabetes awareness has grown thanks to metrics like HbA1c, heart health lacked a clear, measurable parameter. That’s where the concept of heart age comes in.”

VitaLyfe’s algorithm, based on research published in the British Heart Journal, calculates a user’s “heart age” using clinical markers such as cholesterol levels, blood pressure, and lifestyle patterns. It then helps users understand and reduce their “heart age gap” through measurable lifestyle changes.

The platform follows a B2B2C model and will initially be available through employers, insurers, and brokers. “The need is highest among corporate employees. HR heads are genuinely concerned about young professionals in their 30s and 40s facing sudden cardiac events,” Srinivasan noted. Employers are reportedly ready to spend between ₹5,000 and ₹8,000 per employee on wellness programmes, while VitaLyfe’s pricing of under ₹1,000 per user makes it accessible and scalable.

After onboarding, users undergo a “risk stratification” process that analyses health data to reveal heart age, lifestyle risks, and key contributors. The app then creates personalised, AI-driven goals such as reducing heart age or achieving weight loss. It includes features like photo-based meal tracking, guided exercise correction, meditation routines, and gamified wellness challenges.

“We’ve already tested VitaLyfe with around 5,000 employees in beta, and engagement has been very strong,” Srinivasan said.

Rajeev Sibal, President of India Region Formulations at Lupin, added, “With VitaLyfe, we are enabling insurers and employers to combine clinical expertise with AI-driven technology to deliver scalable, measurable wellness outcomes for millions of working Indians.”

Compliant with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act and ISO 27001 standards, the platform ensures all user data is securely stored within India.

VitaLyfe marks Lupin Digital Health’s expansion from post-discharge cardiac care into preventive wellness. The company currently derives up to 70 per cent of its revenue from digital therapeutics for cardiac patients and plans to extend its model to metabolic disorders and oncology.
