In a significant leadership change, LTIMindtree has promoted its Chief Operating Officer, Nachiket Deshpande, to a newly created role, strengthening its commitment to artificial intelligence (AI) services. Deshpande, who also holds the position of whole-time director at the IT giant, will now take on the responsibilities of President of Global AI Services, Strategic Deals, and Partnerships, with immediate effect.
This strategic move comes as part of a larger senior management reshuffle under the guidance of CEO-designate Venu Lambu, who took over in January and will officially step into the CEO role in November. Lambu’s vision for the company focuses on accelerating AI initiatives, positioning LTIMindtree as a leader in the evolving “New AI Economy.”
In his internal communication to associates dated March 7, Lambu emphasized the need for a “new playbook” in response to fast-evolving AI technologies. His aim is to leverage emerging AI opportunities and improve the company’s agility in this rapidly changing landscape. The leadership realignment, including Deshpande’s new role, is seen as a key step in Lambu’s broader strategy to focus on high-value client relationships and large-scale deals.
An insider from the company shared that the recent appointments aim to enhance LTIMindtree’s market speed and growth, with a strong emphasis on internal talent. Along with Deshpande’s new appointment, two other senior leaders have been named: Ram Khizamboor, now Chief Delivery Officer, responsible for global delivery and talent operations; and Krishnan Iyer, who will oversee growth across all service lines as the new Chief Growth Officer. Both will report directly to Lambu.
The changes signal LTIMindtree’s proactive approach to tapping into the booming AI market and adapting swiftly to its opportunities.
