At a time when data security and regulatory compliance are becoming critical for digital services, a new partnership aims to bring advanced legal technology to Indian users without compromising data control.
L&T Vyoma has partnered with Lexlegis.ai to host Lexlegis’s Legal AI platform on Vyoma’s sovereign cloud infrastructure. The collaboration will enable law firms, financial institutions, and government organisations in India to access AI-powered legal research and analysis tools while ensuring that sensitive data remains within the country.
The move addresses rising concerns around data privacy and cross-border data transfers. By hosting the platform on a sovereign cloud, all legal data will be stored and processed in compliance with Indian regulations, rather than being routed to overseas servers.
According to the companies, the partnership is designed to support regulated sectors that require strict data governance but also want to adopt advanced AI-driven solutions. The Legal AI platform is expected to help users improve efficiency in legal research, document analysis, and decision-making, while maintaining full control over confidential information.
Seema Ambastha from L&T Vyoma said the focus is on enabling the use of artificial intelligence “with assurance of security, compliance and sovereign control.” The statement underlines the intent to balance innovation with regulatory and security requirements.
As adoption of AI accelerates across professional services, the collaboration highlights a growing preference for sovereign cloud solutions in sectors handling sensitive and mission-critical data. For legal, financial, and government institutions, the partnership offers access to modern AI capabilities without compromising compliance or data sovereignty.
