Lockton Names Nick Serrault U.S. Chief Operating Officer

Lockton, the world’s largest privately held independent insurance brokerage, has appointed Nick Serrault as Chief Operating Officer for its U.S. operations. Serrault will report to Tim Ryan, Lockton’s U.S. President.

Serrault brings nearly 20 years of experience, including nearly a decade of leadership experience at Lockton, most recently serving as COO of Lockton Dunning, the firm’s People Solutions business in Texas and Louisiana. In that role, he led the regional team through a period of consistent double-digit growth and helped position the business for long-term scalability.

“Nick is a trusted leader with a strong track record of success and I’m excited to partner with him,” said Ryan. “He’s helped one of our largest and most innovative People Solutions operations thrive—and now he’ll bring that same focus and impact at a national level.”

When Serrault transitions into his new role, he will remain based in Texas.

“Working with the Lockton Dunning team has been one of the highlights of my career,” Serrault said. “We’re building something strong—a business with momentum, a culture of collaboration, and a strategy that works. I’m excited to carry that same mindset to our broader U.S. operations and work alongside the U.S. leadership team.”

As Serrault steps into the national COO role, Lockton has promoted Mark Kuonen to succeed him. Based in Dallas, Kuonen will oversee operations and business development for the region, including DallasPlanoHoustonFort WorthSan AntonioAustinNew Orleans, and Baton Rouge.

“Mark has helped shape our strategy, drive our growth, and mentor the next generation of leaders,” said Steve Idoux, CEO of Lockton Dunning. “He knows our business and our culture, and he’s the right person to lead our operations into the future.”

“This place has been home for a long time, and I’m honored to take on this new role,” said Kuonen. “We’ve built an incredible team and a strategy that’s working, and we are well positioned for long term growth and continued success”.
