The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) declared that Ramakrishnan Chander, its current executive director, has taken over as the company’s new chief investment officer (CIO) with immediate effect.
Chander will remain CIO until his scheduled superannuation on September 30, 2027. He now serves as one of LIC’s most important management staff members.
After earning his postgraduate diploma in financial management, Chander began working with LIC in 1990 as an assistant administrative officer. In addition, he is a fellow of the Indian Insurance Institute.
Chander has worked as a senior divisional manager for the Hyderabad and Nagpur divisions, according to LIC. Additionally, he served as the South Zone’s regional manager for marketing and the South Central Zone’s regional manager for pension and group plans.
Chander formerly served as executive director of LIC’s strategic business segment, worldwide operations. He is presently in charge of the company’s investment front office.
