LIC has named Ramakrishnan Chander as its Managing Director with effect from December 1. The announcement marks an important step in his long and accomplished association with the organisation.
Before stepping into this leadership role, Chander served as Executive Director for Investment Front Office and Chief Investment Officer. He joined the corporation in 1990 as an Assistant Administrative Officer and has since built a career spanning thirty five years across marketing and administration.
During his tenure, he has held key roles including Senior Divisional Manager, Regional Manager for Marketing and Regional Manager for P and GS. His experience also includes leading the corporation’s Strategic Business Unit for International Operations as Executive Director. Chander is a graduate and a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of India.
His extensive background across multiple functional areas positions him well to guide the organisation’s strategic direction as Managing Director.
