LG has revealed its newest wireless television at CES 2026 marking the return of its Wallpaper TV line-up. The W6 Wallpaper TV is designed to sit almost flat against the wall with a thickness of just 9mm or 0.35 inches and focuses on major improvements in brightness colour and everyday viewing comfort.
The 4K OLED TV introduces a new panel design that LG claims is 3.9 times brighter than conventional OLED displays. It uses Brightness Booster Ultra and Hyper Radiant Colour Technology to deliver sharper visuals and richer tones. LG has also focused on reducing screen glare this year and says the “reflection-free” W6 offers the lowest reflectance seen on its TVs so far. This is aimed at improving viewing in well-lit rooms. While such coatings often reduce black levels under lighting LG demonstrated to a publication that dark areas showed less loss of detail.
The W6 will be sold in 77 inch and 83 inch sizes and uses a separate wireless connection box that holds all inputs. This box can be placed up to 30 feet away from the screen although the TV itself still needs a direct power connection. LG has also refined the wall mounting system allowing the display to sit flush against the wall from edge to edge. Despite the name the TV does not roll up and instead revives the Wallpaper TV concept that was discontinued in 2020.
Aimed at high end users the W6 includes a full gaming feature set with a 4K 165Hz refresh rate support for G Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium and a claimed 0.1ms pixel response time. The TV also includes wallpapers and AI tools for users who like to customize their screens. In recent years LG wireless models closely mirrored its G Series sets and with the added glare reduction and brightness gains the W6 appears ready to challenge top rivals like the Samsung S95F which previously led in picture quality.
