LG Electronics India has unveiled the Essential Series, a new range of home appliances created specifically for Indian households. This launch marks the company’s first major initiative since its public listing. The products, starting at Rs 18,000, will be available nationwide from November 2025.
The Essential Series includes four appliances: a double-door frost-free refrigerator, a fully automatic top-load washing machine, a room air conditioner, and a convertible oven. Each product is designed to tackle challenges unique to Indian homes, such as low water pressure, high humidity, and energy costs.
“This series brings together premium design and everyday reliability,” said Hong Ju Jeon, president of LG Electronics India. The range is promoted under the campaign “Har Ghar Appliances, Har Ghar Happiness,” aiming to make quality appliances accessible to millions of Indian families.
LG developed the series after consulting more than 1,200 families across the country, following “Made in India” and “Made for India” principles. Key features cater to local needs: the refrigerator offers 20 percent larger vegetable storage to accommodate bulk shopping common in vegetarian households. The washing machine includes a dust-resistant ProShield Motor and IPX4 water-resistant controls to perform well in humid conditions.
The air conditioner comes with Energy Manager+ and a “You decide your bill” function, helping households manage electricity costs. The convertible oven offers Auto Cook menus tailored for Indian dishes such as ghee, paneer, and dal, alongside air fry and convection options.
The Essential Series will be available at authorised LG stores, multi-brand outlets, and e-commerce platforms. Prices exclude installation, taxes, and service charges.
