Lenovo is developing what could become its first rollable gaming laptop under the Legion brand, according to a recent report. The device is expected to bring a new form of display innovation to gaming laptops with an OLED screen that expands horizontally into an ultrawide 21:9 format when users press a button.
A report claims the laptop will be called the Lenovo Legion Pro Rollable. It is said to feature a motorised expanding display that turns into a full ultrawide panel for a more immersive experience. The launch timeline is expected to fall in early 2026, with a possible first look at CES 2026.
This will be the Lenovo’s second rollable laptop after the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Rollable, which was introduced at CES 2025. The earlier model expands vertically for productivity, but the Legion version is designed for gaming and entertainment. It is expected to extend the screen from both the left and right sides to create a wider viewing area.
Based on leaked promotional material, the display can expand to form a continuous ultrawide surface. When fully extended, it offers a 21:9 aspect ratio, which is popular among gamers. The images also show thick protective bezels around the moving edges to help prevent damage during operation.
Reports suggest the Legion Pro Rollable will ship with an unspecified Intel Core Ultra processor and run Windows 11 with a dedicated Copilot key. Lenovo is not expected to use an Arm processor for this model. There are also rumours that it could feature Nvidia GeForce RTX 50 series laptop GPUs, although this is still unconfirmed. The screen is expected to support a refresh rate of at least 120Hz, similar to the company’s earlier rollable hardware.
Other specifications remain unknown. Early details indicate the laptop could use a 15 inch or 16 inch gaming frame based on the visible number pad and chassis design. Pricing information has not been shared yet. However, Lenovo’s first rollable laptop launched at about $3,300, which suggests this new Legion Pro Rollable may also fall in a premium price range.
