Lemonflow Secures Pre-Seed Funding to Revolutionize EV Charging Customer Support with AI

Lemonflow, an innovative AI startup focused on enhancing the electric vehicle (EV) charging experience, has successfully completed its pre-seed funding round. While the specific amount raised was not disclosed, the investment signals strong confidence in Lemonflow’s mission to automate customer support for charge point operators using advanced AI.

The funding round saw participation from notable investors including Speedinvest and the CDTM Venture Fund. Crucially, the startup also attracted key partners contributing invaluable expertise from the e-mobility and AI ecosystems, such as Adrian Zierer, the founder of Charge Construct.

The fresh capital infusion will be strategically deployed to bolster Lemonflow’s product and engineering teams, enabling deeper integrations with charge point management systems. Additionally, the funding will facilitate the expansion of its deployments with “forward-thinking operators across Europe,” underscoring the company’s ambition for widespread adoption.

Lemonflow’s core offering is an AI-powered voice assistant designed to automate customer support for charge point operators, directly addressing the challenge of high operational costs associated with traditional call centers. At the same time, the company promises an “improved user experience” for EV drivers, with AI delivering “the right answers on demand.”

“Lemonflow combines intelligent orchestration with low-latency infrastructure to deliver real-time support experiences,” the company explained. “The system continuously analyses interaction data to identify root causes and surface actionable insights — turning every support request into a driver for operational excellence.” The versatile system supports omnichannel use, allowing interaction with users via voice calls, chat, or email, and across multiple languages.

Lemonflow was co-founded by two former McKinsey engagement managers: Lukas Fieber, a PhD engineer from the University of Oxford who serves as CTO, and Konstantin Huneke, who previously co-led McKinsey’s EV Charging Practice and now serves as CEO.

Konstantin Huneke, Co-Founder of Lemonflow, expressed the significance of this funding: “This funding allows us to take the next step on our journey toward becoming the category leader for vertical AI in EV charging and mobility. We’re building AI that understands the domain deeply, integrates with physical infrastructure, and solves real-world problems at scale.”

Adrian Zierer, a respected e-mobility entrepreneur, consultant, and investor, offered a strong endorsement: “Having delivered hundreds of charging sites for almost all CPOs in Germany, I’ve seen firsthand where the real challenges are today. It’s no longer about just building networks — it’s about running them efficiently and delivering great service. Customer support is one of the hardest — and most underestimated — parts of scaling. Lemonflow tackles exactly this with a state-of-the-art approach and a strong team that understands the operational reality on the ground. That’s why I’m backing them.”

Victor Huerbe, Principal at Speedinvest, also highlighted the timely relevance of Lemonflow’s solution. “The mobility sector is at an inflection point — operational excellence and customer experience are more critical than ever, from EV charging to parking and beyond,” Huerbe stated. “Lemonflow’s vertical AI is purpose-built for this moment: deeply integrated, fast to scale, and grounded in real-world challenges. We’re excited to support Konstantin, Lukas, and the team as they build the AI layer for next-generation mobility infrastructure.”
