India’s leading renewable energy public sector undertaking, IREDA Ltd, has officially announced a significant reshuffle in its senior leadership. The company has introduced new appointments to key board-level positions, signaling a refreshed momentum in its green energy mission.
Stepping into the role of Executive Director (Projects) is Shri Sushant Kumar Dey, a seasoned professional with over 34 years of experience in the renewable energy space. An alumnus of Government Engineering College, Rewa (M.P.), he holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a postgraduate degree from MANIT Bhopal. Additionally, he has completed a postgraduate diploma in Financial Management from Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi. He was earlier serving as GM (Projects) within IREDA.
Joining the leadership on the financial front, Shri Surendra Kumar Sharma has been appointed as Executive Director (Finance & Accounts). A B.Com graduate and an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, he also holds certifications in indirect taxation and forex and treasury management. With nearly three decades of financial expertise, he previously held the position of GM (Finance & Accounts) in the organization.
Another key addition to the finance division is Shri Dhiraj Mehta, who also assumes the role of Executive Director (Finance & Accounts). A B.Com graduate, he is both an associate member of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India and a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. With a robust 28 years of experience in financial operations, he was formerly GM (Finance & Accounts) at IREDA.
In the human resources domain, Ms. Durre Shahwar has taken over as General Manager (Human Resources). With a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry from Ranchi Women’s College under Ranchi University and a postgraduate degree in Personnel Management from Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS), Ranchi, she brings over 27 years of HR experience. She was earlier serving as Additional GM (Human Resources) at the company.
These strategic appointments are expected to strengthen IREDA’s vision in advancing India’s green energy future with renewed leadership and focused expertise.
