Lava Yuva Star 3 debuts in India with 6.75 inch display and 5000mAh battery

Lava has expanded its Yuva smartphone line-up in India with the launch of the Lava Yuva Star 3. The new budget smartphone arrives as the successor to the Lava Yuva Star 2, which was introduced in May last year. It is powered by a Unisoc SC9863A chipset and is available in 2 colour options. The device is aimed at entry level users looking for a large display and long battery life at an affordable price.

The Lava Yuva Star 3 is priced at Rs. 7,499 for the single 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant. It comes in Indus Black and Siachen White colour options. The handset will go on sale through offline retail stores across India starting March. Lava is offering the phone in a single configuration, focusing on value driven buyers in the budget smartphone segment.

The dual SIM Lava Yuva Star 3 runs on Android 15 Go Edition. It features a 6.75 inch HD plus display with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels, a 90Hz refresh rate and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The phone is powered by an octa core Unisoc SC9863A processor paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. The RAM can be expanded up to 8GB using the virtual RAM feature. For photography, it includes a 13 megapixel AI backed rear camera and a 5 megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls. The device also carries an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance.

Connectivity features on the Lava Yuva Star 3 include Wi Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, a 3.5mm audio jack and a USB Type C port. It also has a side mounted fingerprint sensor for security. The smartphone packs a 5000mAh battery with support for 10W charging. Lava claims the battery can deliver up to 30 hours of talk time and up to 340 hours of standby time on a single charge. The phone measures 164.9 x 76.1 x 8.5mm and weighs 193.7g.
