Kumar K.V. joins Aster DM Healthcare as Group Chief Information Officer

Aster DM Healthcare (India and GCC) has announced a key leadership transition in its technology division. Veneeth Purushotaman will step down as Group Chief Information Officer (CIO), and Kumar K.V. has been appointed as his successor.

Purushotaman served as CIO for more than seven years, during which he transformed the company’s global technology foundation. His contributions included consolidating systems, accelerating cloud adoption, and strengthening cybersecurity frameworks across India and the GCC. He will continue with Aster as Vice President – Technology (Transition Office) for a short period to ensure a seamless transition.

Kumar K.V. brings more than 20 years of experience in healthcare IT and enterprise technology leadership. He has previously held senior roles at organisations such as Narayana Health, PwC, and Tata Consultancy Services. In his new role, he will lead Aster’s next phase of digital growth, focusing on interoperability, data-driven healthcare, and scalable technology infrastructure.

This leadership change highlights Aster DM Healthcare’s commitment to advancing its digital transformation and strengthening its position as a technology-driven healthcare provider. The transition aims to sustain the organisation’s technological progress and align its digital strategy with global healthcare trends and operational goals.
