Kristen brings more than thirty years of global experience in human resources, talent management, and organisational transformation. She will join the Group Leadership Team from 1 May 2026.
Kristen joins Nokia from Roche Holding Group, where she served as Global Head of People and Culture for Roche Diagnostics. During her time there, she worked on strengthening leadership capability, improving the operating model, and building a culture focused on innovation and measurable business results. Earlier in her career at Texas Instruments, she held several human resources leadership roles that supported capability development and cultural transformation across global technology operations.
Nokia President and Chief Executive Officer Justin Hotard said that her appointment reflects the company’s commitment to cultural renewal and high performance leadership. He stated, “I am thrilled to welcome Kristen to Team Nokia as we work together to build a culture of empowerment, accountability, and a customer first mindset to increase focus and improve performance across our business.” He added that she will help lead Nokia’s cultural shift towards an AI empowered and unified organisation that is ready for opportunities created by the global AI supercycle.
Kristen called this move “an incredibly exciting time to join Nokia.” She said, “The company is transforming for the era of AI, cloud, and next generation networks and at the centre of that transformation are its people. Nokia’s success depends on the creativity, courage, and collaboration of its teams around the world, and I’m inspired by the opportunity to play a key role in unleashing that potential.”
She is an American and Swiss national and holds a Master of Business Administration in International Human Resources Management from the University of Dallas and a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from Purdue University. She will be based in Finland and will report directly to Justin Hotard.
Kristen appointment comes at a time when Nokia is reshaping itself as a technology and networks leader for the AI and cloud era, with a renewed focus on talent, culture, and performance to support long term growth.
