In a significant funding development, Gurugram-based food brand KisaanSay has raised ₹34 crore ($3.6 million) in a Series A round led by NABVENTURES through the AgriSURE Fund, with participation from other investors.
The company had previously secured $2 million in a pre-seed round in January last year, led by Jungle Ventures through First Cheque@Jungle, along with support from senior leaders in the food industry.
The fresh capital will be used to expand distribution, strengthen marketing and brand-building efforts, grow the team, build a scalable organisation, and deploy a full-stack technology infrastructure.
Founded in 2022 by Nitin Puri, Vaishali Mehta, and Manoj Karki, KisaanSay offers 100% single-origin food products. The brand focuses on connecting farmers directly with consumers while promoting transparency and sustainable livelihoods.
Its single-origin model ensures that products are grown, minimally processed, and packaged at the source by farmer enterprises in their own units.
KisaanSay currently offers over 100 SKUs across 12 categories and partners with 25 farmer enterprises through co-brand and co-profit models. The company’s network spans around 50,000 farmers across 9 states.
Its distribution channels include its direct-to-consumer platform, leading e-commerce and quick commerce platforms, and select retail outlets in Delhi-NCR.
AgriSURE, a SEBI-registered Category II AIF, is jointly backed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and NABARD, and is managed by NABVENTURES. The fund focuses on investing in technology-driven agri and rural startups to strengthen farm-to-market linkages and support sustainable rural development.
