Kia India Launches EV Network with 11,000 Chargers Ahead of Carens Clavis EV

Kia India has launched a full-scale electric vehicle ecosystem on July 9, 2025, ahead of the upcoming debut of its first locally manufactured electric car, the Carens Clavis EV, scheduled for launch via webcast on July 15 at 12 PM.

The new ecosystem includes the K-Charge platform, now part of the MyKia app, offering access to more than 11,000 charging stations across India. Developed in collaboration with 18 top Charge Point Operators, the charging network covers both city roads and highways, supporting everyday travel and long trips

Kia also introduced an EV Route Planner available on its website and through the MyKia app. This tool helps users find nearby charging stations, check real-time slot availability, and make payments directly from the app, removing the need for multiple third-party applications.

The company aims to expand its charging network to over 20,000 points by mid-2026.

Kia has also established over 250 EV-ready workshops nationwide, equipped with dedicated tools and trained technicians. Additionally, more than 100 dealerships are fitted with DC Fast Chargers ranging from 60kW to 240kW, allowing quick charging during service visits.

Home charging options are available too, with Kia offering advanced solutions supporting 7.4kW and 11kW AC chargers, giving users greater convenience and faster charging at home.

Joonsu Cho, Chief Sales Officer of Kia India, said, “Our focus has always been on delivering innovation that makes a real difference. With our comprehensive EV ecosystem now in place, we are empowering customers to experience electric mobility with ease and confidence.”

He added, “This strong foundation allows us to support the next wave of EV adoption across the country, making electric driving practical, reliable, and accessible for all.”

Kia India began operations in 2019 at its Anantapur plant, which has an annual capacity of 300,000 units. The company has dispatched nearly 1.5 million vehicles, with over 1.2 million sold domestically and more than 367,000 exported.

With a network of 744 touchpoints in 329 cities and over 450,000 connected cars on Indian roads, Kia has launched eight vehicles in India, including the Seltos, Syros, Sonet, Carens, Carnival, EV6, EV9, and the new Carens Clavis.
