Abu Ltaif’s new responsibilities will encompass overseeing business operations across the region, acquiring new clients, building a robust local team, and driving innovation to ensure sustained success in the rapidly evolving cybersecurity landscape. Abu Ltaif’s extensive career includes over 28 years in top leadership positions at some of the world’s leading technology companies, such as Cisco AppDynamics, Citrix, Symantec, McAfee, and NCR. His experience in driving results and fostering long-term growth makes him a valuable asset to Proofpoint as the company looks to continue securing businesses in the region against ever-evolving cyber threats.
As the cyber threat landscape in the Middle East grows more complex, human error remains the top concern for CISOs in the UAE, with 76% citing it as the greatest vulnerability, as highlighted in Proofpoint’s 2024 Voice of the CISO Report. Despite these concerns, security leaders in the region are becoming more confident, with 56% of CISOs in the UAE feeling better prepared to tackle cyberattacks, a noticeable increase from 51% last year.
