The Karnataka government has commenced extensive preparations for the 28th edition of the Bengaluru Tech Summit (BTS) 2025, scheduled to take place from November 18 to 20 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC). In a significant step to amplify the summit’s global reach, the Department of Electronics, IT, and Biotechnology hosted a Global Innovation Alliance (GIA) Meet in Bengaluru today.
The GIA Meet saw robust participation from representatives of over 35 partner countries, including Germany, Australia, the UK, the US, Japan, Israel, and France, alongside Indian government officials and trade missions. This gathering underscores Karnataka’s commitment to strengthening cross-border collaboration in technology and innovation.
Under the theme “Futurise,” BTS 2025 aims to be Asia’s largest and most inclusive platform for innovators, thought leaders, and global partners. The summit is expected to attract over 100,000 attendees, including more than 20,000 startup founders, 1,000 investors, 15,000 delegates, 600 speakers, and 1,200 exhibitors from over 60 countries and all Indian states and union territories.
For the first time, the summit will be held at the BIEC, a purpose-built, eco-conscious venue, marking a significant leap in scale and ambition. The event will feature 10 comprehensive conference tracks, expanding from six in the previous year.Â
A major highlight will be the Future Makers Conclave, an exclusive three-hour program designed for startup founders, featuring influential speakers, a keynote address, and experiential learning sessions. The summit will also host the Startup Springboard program, connecting promising ventures with global investors, mentors, and markets through pitching sessions, one-on-one clinics, and a dedicated startup pavilion.
The GIA initiative, launched in 2017 under the Karnataka Unit for International Co-operation (KUIC), has steadily expanded its network from 10 countries in 2018 to over 35 nations by 2025. This network facilitates deep engagement beyond ceremonial MoUs, fostering collaboration in research, innovation, skilling, and emerging technologies. The GIA platform will continue to deepen international collaboration through delegations, exchange programs, and mixer events.
Karnataka’s robust innovation ecosystem, home to over 10,000 DPIIT-recognized startups, 43 unicorns, and a significant share of India’s Global Capability Centers (GCCs), provides a fertile ground for these global partnerships. The state has consistently ranked #1 in NITI Aayog’s India Innovation Index and has implemented various policies and initiatives to support startups and attract investments in high-growth sectors like ESDM, Spacetech, AI, and data centers.
Bengaluru Tech Summit 2025 is poised to offer unparalleled opportunities for knowledge exchange, business development, and strategic partnerships, solidifying Bengaluru’s position as a global technology and innovation powerhouse.
