The appointment comes as the group accelerates technology led transformation across its 6 automotive brands in India.
In her new role, Karishhma will lead enterprise IT strategy, the digital transformation roadmap, cybersecurity governance, cloud modernisation and data driven innovation. Her focus will be on improving operational efficiency, manufacturing excellence and customer experience across Volkswagen, Škoda Auto, Audi, Bentley, Lamborghini and Porsche in India.
Karishhma joins the group from Beiersdorf, where she led the India IT Service Line. There, she was responsible for GCC P and L, Asia Emerging Markets IT heartbeat strategy and large scale service excellence programs.
Earlier, Karishhma held senior roles at Otis Elevator Co., serving as Director Digital Technology for APAC Manufacturing and India, and previously as General Manager Digital Technology for India. In these roles, she led cloud, IoT, customer journey transformation and manufacturing digitisation initiatives.
She also spent over 10 years with the Tata Motors Group. Her roles included Head IT and Digital Initiatives at Tata Motors Insurance Broking and Advisory Services, where she positioned the business as a digital first insurance broker. Earlier, Karishhma served as Deputy General Manager IT Programs and National Key Account Manager at Tata Motors, driving CRM transformation and enterprise IT strategy deployment.
Her early career included leadership roles in strategic accounts and business development at Omnitech InfoSolutions, Futurism Technologies and DesignTech Systems.
Karishhma holds an MBA in Marketing and Systems from KIT IMER under Shivaji University. She has also completed executive programs at IIM Ahmedabad in CRM and Strategic IT Management, along with advanced leadership programs in business warfare and digital strategy.
