Prediction market platform Kalshi has introduced a new feature that allows its users to easily share forecasts and discussions on Meta’s social network Threads. The update adds a built-in sharing option that automatically embeds the relevant prediction market chart directly into a Threads post, making it simpler for users to discuss ongoing predictions with a wider audience.
The new integration is designed to encourage conversations around popular predictions. Users discussing topics such as which film might win Best Picture or which reality TV contestant could be eliminated can now share market forecasts along with their personal views. According to the company, “with this integration, people can share their opinions alongside the forecasts they’re seeing on Kalshi,” allowing discussions to combine predictions with data from the platform.
The strategy reflects a similar social media approach that both Kalshi and its major rival Polymarket have used on X to drive engagement and discussion. However, Kalshi’s relationship with X has faced challenges in recent months. In June, X named Polymarket as its “official” prediction market partner, which strengthened the rival platform’s presence on the social media network.
Further complications followed last month when Kalshi removed affiliate badges from X accounts operated by its sponsored traders. The move came after X introduced a new rule that prevents sponsored accounts from posting about sports betting. The policy was implemented after reports suggested that prediction markets had partnered with fake sports insiders who spread misinformation online. Although the new Threads share button may not carry the same impact as integrations with X, it signals growing confidence in the platform. The development also comes just a few months after user data suggested that Threads is expanding faster than X.
