Wishing Mr. Jitendra Kumar greater responsibilities and exciting challenges in this impressive new chapter!
In a remarkable homecoming, digital learning pioneer Simplilearn has named Jitendra Kumar as its Chief Technology Officer. With a legacy of innovation already etched into the company’s early growth, Kumar returns to lead a transformative era driven by artificial intelligence, bringing with him a visionary outlook and a rich tapestry of industry wisdom.
Previously instrumental in building the core web and mobile platforms that helped Simplilearn scale rapidly, Kumar’s renewed mission is to architect a deeply AI-first approach across the company’s tech ecosystem. From generative algorithms to predictive models, his leadership will shape a more personalised, intuitive, and scalable learning experience for professionals across the globe.
The announcement arrives at a time when Simplilearn is sharpening its internal AI capabilities while simultaneously launching market-facing AI solutions. Krishna Kumar, the company’s founder and CEO, expressed strong optimism about this leadership move, stating, “Jitendra’s reappointment comes at a pivotal moment as we sharpen our global AI strategy internally and as a market-facing solution. His leadership will be critical in advancing our AI-readiness, scaling capabilities, and strengthening our position as a leading digital upskilling platform. His diverse industry experience will be invaluable as we strengthen our presence across global markets.”
Between his earlier Simplilearn chapter and this new one, Kumar co-founded and led fintech startup HappyCredit, backed by noted investors including Kunal Shah and Goodwater Capital. He also founded ReelOn, an AI-powered content creation platform designed to serve brands, creators and agencies with cutting-edge video tools.
Sharing his excitement, Jitendra Kumar said, “I am excited to return to Simplilearn during such a transformative time for the company and the edtech industry at large. As we accelerate our AI journey, we must adopt a holistic approach, embedding AI across our tech and learning ecosystem to create smarter, more personalised, and scalable upskilling solutions.”
With his return, Simplilearn moves forward not just with strategy, but with soul — fusing innovation with purpose in its quest to reimagine how the world learns.
