Jennifer Mathew Fernandes joins Bajaj Finance Ltd. as Chief Human Resources Officer

With over 20 years of experience in strategic HR leadership, organisational development, and people transformation, Jennifer brings deep expertise in building scalable, high-performing, and inclusive workplaces.

In her new role, Jennifer will lead Bajaj Finance’s HR strategy, with a focus on driving employee engagement, leadership development, and digital transformation across the company’s growing workforce. Her appointment reinforces the organisation’s commitment to nurturing talent and strengthening its human capital as a key driver of business growth.

Before taking on this position, Jennifer served as Deputy Chief Human Resources Officer at Bajaj Finance Ltd., where she led key initiatives across HR Partnering, Learning and Development, and Talent Acquisition, supporting a workforce of over 40,000 employees. She played a major role in shaping the company’s people strategy, aligning HR programmes with business goals, and promoting a culture of agility and performance excellence.

Her earlier experience as Chief Human Resources Officer at Bajaj Housing Finance Limited further strengthened her leadership credentials. In that role, she managed HR and administration functions, implementing programmes to boost productivity, engagement, and long-term talent sustainability.

Before joining the Bajaj Group, Jennifer held senior HR positions at Bajaj Finserv, where she helped develop robust frameworks that encouraged innovation and adaptability. She also worked with L&T Finance as Head of Group Compensation and Benefits and Business Partner HR, where she established organisation-wide HR policies and performance structures that enhanced consistency and alignment across business units.

Jennifer began her career with Team4U, KGK Group, and Concast Standard Engineering Pvt. Ltd., gaining valuable experience in HR operations, talent management, and policy development.

Her appointment highlights Bajaj Finance’s focus on people-centric transformation and its dedication to fostering a progressive work environment. With her strong leadership and strategic HR vision, Jennifer Mathew Fernandes is set to guide the company’s next phase of workforce growth and organisational excellence.
