UltraTech Cement, a company of the Aditya Birla Group, has elevated Jayant Dua to the role of Managing Director, effective April 1, 2026. The company also announced that its board has approved his appointment as an Additional Director, Managing Director and Key Managerial Personnel starting January 1, 2027, after the current Managing Director K. C. Jhanwar completes his term on December 31, 2026.
Jayant Dua brings extensive leadership experience within the Aditya Birla Group and across several of its businesses. He is currently serving as Business Head – Textiles within the group and also holds the position of Business Head at Aditya Birla Renewables Limited, based in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
Earlier in his career, Dua served as Chief Executive Officer for the Chlor Alkali Business at the Aditya Birla Group. Before that, he worked as Chief Executive Officer at Century Textiles & Ind Ltd. (Cement Business), where he was responsible for managing the cement operations of the company. He has also previously been associated with UltraTech Cement Ltd. as Group Executive President.
Dua has also held key leadership roles in the financial services and industrial sectors within the group. He served as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer at Birla Sunlife Insurance Company Ltd. and has taken on CEO-level responsibilities in other group companies as well. These include serving as CEO at Aditya Birla Insulators and as CEO and Managing Director at Birla NGK Insulators Pvt. Ltd.
Earlier in his professional journey, he worked with Grasim Ind Ltd. (Cement Business), where he handled leadership roles across business strategy, marketing IT, brand management and sales and marketing. His career also includes professional experience with Holtec Consulting, NIIT, Shaw Wallace and Hitkari Potteries (Plastic Division).
