Jairam Sridharan has been named Chief Executive Officer of Piramal Finance, after serving as Managing Director since 2021 and previously as CEO of Piramal Consumer Finance. His leadership has been pivotal in transforming the company and expanding its retail lending operations, particularly following the acquisition and integration of DHFL.
With over two decades of experience in global and Indian financial institutions, Sridharan brings deep expertise in scaling consumer businesses, digital lending, and strategic growth across banking and insurance. His appointment highlights Piramal Finance’s commitment to advancing its retail lending leadership and driving innovation in financial services.
Earlier, Sridharan served at Axis Bank as Chief Financial Officer and President of Retail Lending and Payments, playing a key role in building large-scale retail franchises. He also spent seven years at Capital One in the United States in senior leadership roles, specializing in consumer lending. His career began with ICICI Bank and Standard Chartered Bank, focusing on business intelligence and analytics.
Beyond his executive responsibilities, Sridharan contributes widely to the financial services ecosystem. He serves as Chairman of the Board at Pramerica Life Insurance, Board Member at Fibe.India (formerly EarlySalary), and Advisory Board Member at the Plaksha Technology Leaders Program, reflecting his influence across banking, insurance, fintech, and education.
