Buckley has been associated with Roblox for more than 5 years and most recently served as Vice President of People (HR) and Vice President of People Science. Earlier, he led the company’s People Science and Analytics function, where he helped develop data-driven workforce strategies, people analytics capabilities and initiatives focused on organizational effectiveness across the company’s global operations.
His elevation highlights Roblox’s focus on combining people strategy with advanced systems, analytics and technology to support the company’s long-term growth plans.
Alongside his corporate responsibilities, Buckley has maintained an active role in research and public service. He has served as an Institute Fellow at American Institutes for Research for more than 7 years. He also previously worked at the organization as Senior Vice President for Research and Evaluation.
Earlier in his career, Buckley held the role of Senior Vice President of Research at The College Board. He also served as Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner at the National Centre for Education Statistics.
His professional background also includes advisory and leadership roles at McKinsey & Company as well as academic engagements with New York University and Boston College.
Earlier in his career, Buckley served in the United States Navy as a Nuclear Engineer and Surface Warfare Officer.
His diverse experience across research, public policy, analytics and corporate leadership positions him to guide Roblox’s people and systems strategy as the company continues expanding its global platform.
