Israel moves to expand AI adoption across its manufacturing sector

Israel is taking a major step to bring artificial intelligence into traditional industries through a new program launched by the Ministry of Economy and Industry in partnership with Google Israel. The initiative aims to help factories upgrade productivity and modernize operations by training industry consultants who can guide companies in practical and effective AI use.

The training program was developed with the High Tech and AI School at Reichman University and the Ministry’s Centre for Advanced Industry. It focuses on giving consultants the skills they need to introduce AI into factory management production logistics IT and customer operations. By training professionals who already work closely with manufacturers the government hopes to speed up AI adoption in sectors that have been slower to embrace new technology.

The first group of more than 30 participants began their training this week. They received an introduction to core AI concepts along with practical tools designed for real industrial environments. This learning effort supports Israel’s broader goal of helping traditional industries understand the advantages of AI and reducing the barriers that have held back digital transformation.

Officials say many factories across the country are still unaware of how AI can strengthen their daily operations. Through this joint program, the Ministry and Google Israel aim to close that awareness gap and guide companies toward more innovative and efficient processes. The initiative highlights Israel’s commitment to preparing its manufacturing sector for future technological advances.
