With its India launch just weeks away, iQOO has started revealing key details about the upcoming iQOO 15R, the newest member of the flagship iQOO 15 series. The latest official teaser focuses on the phone’s battery size and overall design, highlighting major upgrades over the standard iQOO 15.
According to an official post on X, the 15R will feature a large 7,600mAh battery. This is a notable jump over the 7,000mAh battery found in the iQOO 15. Despite the bigger battery, the brand claims the phone is the “slimmest smartphone in the 7,600mAh category” available in India. The device is confirmed to be just 7.9mm thick and is said to feel light and comfortable in hand.
Earlier teasers have already confirmed that the iQOO 15R will be powered by the octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, built on a 3nm process. The company claims the phone has crossed 3.5 million points on the AnTuTu benchmark. It also promises around 36% better CPU performance and nearly 46% improved NPU performance compared to previous generations.
A dedicated microsite suggests that the 15R will be positioned as the fastest smartphone in the under Rs. 55,000 segment. This hints at pricing close to the OnePlus 15R, which launched in India in December 2025 at Rs. 47,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. The OnePlus 15R also runs on the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor.
In terms of design, iQOO has confirmed a Dark Knight colour option for the 15R. A blue variant has also been teased, although its official name has not yet been revealed.
More details are expected to be announced soon, as the iQOO 15R is scheduled to launch in India on February 24.
