That’s thinner than the Galaxy S25 Edge, which is reportedly at 5.8mm.
While this ultra-slim form factor is set to mesmerise minimalists, it does come with trade-offs. The iPhone 17 Air is expected to house a 2,800mAh battery, significantly smaller than the iPhone 16 lineup’s powerhouses. Still, Apple seems to be turning to high-density battery tech to balance style and stamina, with reports hinting at a potential 15 to 20 percent boost in real-world battery performance. Whispers also suggest Apple may explore silicon-anode batteries to enhance efficiency.
For users seeking extended power, Apple might introduce a case-like accessory that can supplement battery life on the go.
The iPhone 17 Air is also rumoured to feature a stunning 6.6-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, powered by either the A18 or A19 chipset. Camera-wise, it may carry a 24MP front camera and a 48MP rear shooter, continuing Apple’s push toward premium mobile photography.
