The way films are made is changing fast as artificial intelligence enters mainstream production. InVideo has deepened its partnership with Google Cloud to build advanced AI powered filmmaking tools for studios, broadcasters, ad agencies and large production houses. The announcement was made in Delhi ahead of the India AI Film Festival, where the companies will showcase how these tools work in real production environments.
At the core of this collaboration is a clear goal. Filmmakers should access powerful cloud computing without becoming technologists. InVideo’s creative platform is now integrated with Google Cloud’s AI stack, including advanced TPU and GPU systems. This setup supports the entire filmmaking process from script prompts to complete cinematic scenes. “Invideo exists to support storytellers,” said Sanket Shah, CEO and Co-Founder of InVideo. “We already serve millions of creators. Now we’re working to make AI practical for serious filmmakers, not just creatively exciting but economically sensible.” While the global AI media market is growing, much of it focuses on short form content. InVideo wants to push AI into feature films and long form storytelling.
Through Vertex AI, studios can use generative models such as Veo and Imagen to create detailed 4K visuals from simple text prompts. Directors can test camera angles, lighting and scene pacing digitally before building physical sets. The aim is to help creative teams “fail fast” in early stages and refine ideas before production begins. The system also integrates Gemini for scene analysis and continuity management. For sound design, tools like Lyria and Chirp enable synchronised background scores and realistic multilingual dialogue, making global localisation easier. InVideo is also using Google Cloud’s AI Hypercomputer infrastructure to train custom models for enterprise clients, delivering studio grade output.
The collaboration includes built in safeguards. Generated assets carry SynthID watermarks for transparency, along with safety filters and copyright protections. “Filmmaking has always evolved with technology,” said Sashi Sreedharan, Managing Director of Google Cloud India. “AI is the next chapter. Our goal is to remove friction so creators can bring bold ideas to the screen.” The partnership will be presented on February 17 at the India AI Film Festival near Qutub Minar. The invite only event will gather filmmakers, investors and policymakers. InVideo will also announce 3 feature films developed with major Indian production houses using its enterprise offering powered by Google Cloud.
