ING Hubs Philippines reports major milestones in innovation and global capability growth

ING Hubs Philippines marked 2025 as one of its most transformative years, strengthening its position as a key global capability centre within the banking group. Country manager Hazel Zaide Delos Santos described the year as a significant turning point. “2025 was a defining year for ING Hubs Philippines. We raised the bar across our capabilities, our culture, and our impact, proving that world class can be built from Manila,” she said.

The organisation made major progress in automation and artificial intelligence. Routine tasks that once required half an hour were reduced to seconds, improving efficiency and lowering operational risks. Teams also tested new AI tools for content creation and data analysis, with human supervision to ensure accuracy. One employee noted, “Automation did not replace judgment, it gave time to use it.”

Upskilling was a major priority. A total of 5,200 employees completed 120 new skills programmes focused on digital fluency, leadership, and future ready capabilities. Programmes such as FutureSmarts and internal leadership tracks INSPIRE, IGNITE, and LEAP strengthened talent development. Early career opportunities continued to expand through the PEGA Residency, Graduate Trainee Programme, and university partnerships. Through Citizen Led Automation, even non technical staff created tools that boosted productivity.

ING Hubs Philippines also reinforced its reputation as a top employer. It earned several recognitions in 2025, including gold for diversity, equity and inclusion and silver for workplace mobility. It was also named Company of the Year in an industry award, achieved Great Place to Work certification for the third time, and ranked among the top graduate employers in the country. These achievements reflect a people centred workplace, supported by a low attrition rate of 8.7 percent. Employee groups and communities continued to foster inclusion, engagement, and personal growth.

Sustainability remained central to its operations. The organisation reported a 23.5 percent reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, shifted fully to renewable energy, and drove multiple employee led initiatives. These included textile waste reduction, tree planting, blood donations, laptop donations, and coastal cleanups. Using its ESG tracking tool, employees helped avoid or remove 1.17 million kilograms of carbon emissions.

Looking ahead to 2026, ING Hubs Philippines plans to expand capabilities in risk, technology, and transformation, with a strong focus on responsible adoption of generative AI. Its long term strategy remains anchored on people, transformation, and sustainability as it continues to scale its global impact.
