Infosys is seeing a clear rise in demand from international clients who are looking to set up Global Capability Centres in India. This trend reflects a shift in how companies are designing their global operating models, with many new engagements now beginning with GCC creation and later expanding into wider technology partnerships.
The company recently introduced an AI first GCC model aimed at helping clients build innovation hubs powered by artificial intelligence. The goal is to reposition GCCs from traditional cost centres into strategic units that drive business growth and digital transformation.
Senior leaders at Infosys noted that more clients are selecting India as the starting point for their GCC plans due to the country’s strengths in talent, scalability, innovation and supply chain resilience. They added that this pattern shows increasing confidence in India based centres as long term anchors for global operations.
With interest rising across industries, Infosys is accelerating its focus on the expanding GCC market. The company aims to support clients in building future ready and AI enabled operations that can address complex business challenges from India.
