Infosys partners with AWS to accelerate enterprise generative AI adoption

A new collaboration is set to strengthen the use of generative artificial intelligence across large enterprises as Infosys joins hands with Amazon Web Services.

Infosys announced on Wednesday that it has partnered with AWS to speed up enterprise adoption of generative AI. In an exchange filing, the company said the initiative combines Infosys Topaz, its AI first suite of services, solutions, and platforms, with Amazon Q Developer, AWS’s generative AI powered assistant.

The partnership is aimed at improving Infosys’ internal operations while driving innovation for clients across sectors such as manufacturing, telecom, financial services, and consumer goods.

Commenting on the collaboration, Balakrishna DR, Executive Vice President and Global Services Head for AI and Industry Verticals at Infosys, said, “By integrating Amazon Q Developer with Infosys Topaz, we are not just transforming our internal functions, such as development cycles, but also enabling our clients to reimagine critical functions like HR, recruitment, and vendor management.”

“Together, we are building an AI first ecosystem that empowers enterprises to navigate their next business transformation with agility and precision. This is about amplifying human potential to drive innovation and deliver impact at an unprecedented scale,” he added.

Infosys is using its Topaz platform to introduce AI across key functions including software development, HR, hiring, sales, and vendor management. In software development, Topaz working with Amazon Q Developer can automatically generate documentation and support coding, error fixing, testing, and modernisation of legacy systems.

The collaboration is expected to help Infosys simplify complex tasks, complete projects faster, improve employee experience, and increase overall productivity.

Infosys is also using AWS generative AI tools to build advanced industry specific solutions. In sectors such as sports and entertainment, these tools will support real time personalised experiences designed to improve engagement for millions of fans.

Highlighting the broader impact of the partnership, Sandeep Dutta, President of AWS India and South Asia, said the combined strengths of Amazon Q and Infosys Topaz will help organisations innovate, gain operational agility, and unlock differentiated value.

“Through this collaboration, Infosys and AWS are committed to delivering solutions rooted in technical excellence and tailored to address the unique demands of global industries,” Dutta said.
