Infosys Launches Advanced AI, Cybersecurity, and Space Technology Centre in Hubballi

Infosys has announced the launch of its Centre for Advanced AI, Cybersecurity, and Space Technology at its development campus in Hubballi, Karnataka. This new centre is part of the company’s global ‘Infosys Living Labs’ network and marks a major step in strengthening Hubballi’s presence as a key technology destination. With this expansion, Infosys has now surpassed 1,000 employees in the region.

The facility was officially inaugurated by Karnataka Minister for Large and Medium Industries and Infrastructure Development M B Patil and Minister for Electronics, IT and Biotechnology Priyank Kharge.

The centre is set to play a significant role in delivering next-generation digital solutions in areas including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud computing, engineering services, SAP, and space technology. These capabilities will serve clients across a variety of industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, retail, and financial services, both within India and globally.

As part of the Infosys Living Labs initiative, which consists of innovation centres across the world, the Hubballi facility will also function as a space for research, co-creation, and rapid prototyping. It aims to accelerate digital transformation for clients by fostering innovation and collaboration.

Minister M B Patil praised Infosys for expanding its footprint in North Karnataka. “We are delighted to witness Infosys strengthening its base in North Karnataka with over 1,000 employees in Hubballi,” he said. He also highlighted the potential benefits for the region, stating, “This move not only generates high-value jobs but also fosters collaboration between industry and academia, giving local talent an opportunity to work in future-ready domains like AI and cybersecurity.”

He further encouraged Infosys to consider expanding into other northern districts of the state to promote balanced development and inclusive growth across Karnataka.

With this new centre, Infosys continues to demonstrate its commitment to regional talent development and innovation, while contributing to India’s broader digital economy.
