Infobip Elevates Mirza Bukva to Spearhead Operator Alliances Across EMEA

In a strategic leadership move set to strengthen its telecom roots across continents, global cloud communications platform Infobip has named Mirza Bukva as the new Director of Operator Partnerships for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region.

Bukva’s journey with Infobip spans almost ten years, during which he has consistently risen through the ranks, bringing both vision and execution to the telecom partnerships landscape. He previously served as Head of Telecom Partnerships for Africa, where his efforts enhanced network optimisation, unlocked new monetisation streams, and nurtured significant operator alliances.

Before stepping into his role at Infobip, Bukva built his foundation in sales and analytics, combining people-first strategies with data intelligence to craft business decisions that drive impact. His dual focus on relationships and results has made him a natural fit for leading a region as diverse and dynamic as EMEA.

“Infobip operates at the forefront of telecommunications innovation, enabling seamless communication for businesses worldwide. By prioritising strong relationships and aligning strategies with emerging industry trends like 5G infrastructure and fintech convergence, my goal will be to solidify Infobip’s position as a trusted partner in the telecom ecosystem”, said Mirza Bukva, the incoming Director of Operator Partnerships for EMEA region at Infobip.

In his new position, Bukva will be responsible for architecting and executing telecom partnership strategies across EMEA. From strengthening ties with regional operators to driving solution alignment in response to changing market demands, his role will be central to Infobip’s continued growth and innovation. He plans to channel his rich experience into building enduring collaborations that fuel sustainable value creation.

According to Matija Ražem, Infobip’s Chief Commercial Telecom Officer, “Mirza’s appointment aligns with the company’s vision to enhance its leadership in the telco sector by forging deeper partnerships, driving digital transformation, and unlocking growth opportunities through cutting-edge solutions such as Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS) and Artificial Intelligence (AI)-driven customer engagement. He will be instrumental in continuing to redefine communication technology across EMEA.”

Bukva’s strategic lens will zoom in on Europe’s rapidly evolving telecom battleground, the rising innovation hubs across the Middle East, and Africa’s transformative digital wave. His approach will merge regional understanding with Infobip’s broader global ambitions, ensuring a seamless blend of local insight and international momentum.
