The first artificial intelligence (AI)-based data center park in the nation was established in Sector-22 of Nava Raipur on Saturday by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, according to a state government press release.
With preference for locals, the initiative is anticipated to provide about 500 direct and 1,500 indirect job possibilities.
According to the release, RackBank Datacenters Private Limited will run the 5.5-hectare data center park, which will feature a 2.7-hectare Special Economic Zone. The project will be entirely focused on AI-based services.
Five megawatts will be the initial capacity, which may be increased to 150 megawatts. It is projected that an extra ₹2,000 crore would be invested.
The park would offer cutting-edge services in domains including AI, healthtech, defense, finance, and data analytics in addition to data processing and storage, the government stated.
According to the statement, the park will have world-class GPU-based high-end computer infrastructure, recording, live data streaming, and AI processing facilities. According to the statement, services like GPU-based computing, AI processing, data analytics, and live data streaming would all be housed under one roof.
“This is not only a data centre. It is the digital backbone for a new era of growth and empowerment,”CM said.
The government said the centre will also help farmers with accurate weather forecasting and crop management, and tribals living in remote areas will get access to education” officials said.
