The Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (IN-SPACe) has enabled the transfer of five advanced technologies developed by ISRO to five Indian companies, marking another step towards strengthening self-reliance and reducing dependence on imports. The agreements were signed in Ahmedabad at the IN-SPACe headquarters in the presence of NewSpace India Limited (NSIL), the recipient companies, and IN-SPACe officials.
Among the major transfers, Voltix Semicon Pvt. Ltd., Pune received the Low Temperature Co-Fired Ceramic (LTCC) Multi-Chip Module, developed by SAC, for biomedical applications such as RT-PCR kits. This technology is currently being imported. Crest Speciality Resins Pvt. Ltd. (earlier known as Crest Composites and Plastics Pvt. Ltd.), Ahmedabad acquired the RTV Silicone Single Part Adhesive (SILCEM R9) from VSSC for use in solar panel bonding, another important import substitute.
Other transfers included Film Adhesives EFA 1753 and EFA 1752 to Azista Composites Private Limited, Hyderabad, the 30W HMC DC-DC Converter to Ananth Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad, and the Anodisation of 3D printed Al-10Si-Mg alloy to Pushpak Aerospace India Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru.
Speaking on the development, Pawan Goenka, chairman of IN-SPACe, said, “These transfers highlight the growing capability and confidence of the Indian industry. While some of these technologies will directly substitute imports, others will unlock applications well beyond the space sector. The true impact will be realised when industry scales them up for widespread use.”
With these agreements, the total number of ISRO technology transfers facilitated by IN-SPACe has now reached 98. This reflects the growing participation of the private sector in India’s space ecosystem. Commenting on the development, Rajeev Jyoti, Fellow FINAE, FASI, FIETE, and director at IN-SPACe, said, “There is strong interest from industry in acquiring these technologies, and IN-SPACe continues to promote them for wider adoption.”
Earlier in July, ten other ISRO technologies had also been transferred to six private firms, further accelerating the path towards indigenisation of India’s space sector.
