IIT Delhi rolls out advanced 6-month FinTech certificate focused on emerging technologies

Strengthening its push into future-ready professional education, a premier academic institution has announced a new advanced programme aimed at finance and technology professionals seeking industry-relevant skills.

Indian Institute of Technology Delhi has launched an Advanced Professional Certificate Programme in FinTech, offered through its Continuing Education Programme. The course runs for 6 months and is designed to equip professionals with practical knowledge at the intersection of finance and advanced technology.

The programme includes 118 hours of structured learning, featuring 60 hours of live interactive sessions along with recorded lectures, assignments, quizzes, and a comprehensive capstone project. It is delivered entirely online via Direct-to-Device learning, with an optional campus immersion at the IIT Delhi campus for participants who wish to enhance their learning experience.

A key highlight of the programme is its industry-aligned curriculum, built around the “ABCDs” of FinTech — Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Cloud Computing, and Big Data. Course modules cover both foundational and emerging areas such as blockchain and cryptocurrencies, algorithmic trading, generative AI applications in finance, digital payments, cybersecurity, regulatory technology, and entrepreneurial opportunities in the FinTech sector.

The capstone project plays a central role in the programme, enabling participants to apply theoretical concepts to real-world financial and technological use cases.

On successful completion and fulfillment of attendance and assessment requirements, learners will receive an e-certificate issued by the Continuing Education Programme at IIT Delhi. The certification is structured to prepare candidates for roles including Financial Analyst, Compliance Expert, FinTech Product Manager, and Data Scientist.

The fee for the 2026 batch is approximately ₹1,85,000 plus GST, with flexible payment and EMI options available. Applications must be submitted by January 17, 2026. Classes will commence on February 28, 2026, and the programme will conclude in August 2026.

With its strong focus on applied learning and emerging technologies, the programme aims to help professionals stay competitive in the rapidly evolving FinTech ecosystem.
