No strings. Just sound.
Audio innovator iFi has just introduced two travel-friendly companions that promise to elevate your holiday playlists to new heights. Say hello to the Up Travel and Go Pod Air, both designed for music lovers who don’t want to compromise on quality while on the move.
The Up Travel is a fresh creation tailored for cars and aircraft entertainment systems. It effortlessly plugs into any standard 3.5mm jack and beams audio wirelessly to your Bluetooth headphones, delivering smooth high-resolution sound even mid-flight or on a scenic drive. Compact and weighing just 25g, this pocket-sized powerhouse is designed with long journeys in mind, boasting a 10-hour battery life.
What makes iFi more exciting is the dual headphone support. Share your soundtrack with a travel buddy or sync into a movie together. With iFi’s dedicated hi-fi circuitry, every note is processed through distinct audio stages to ensure exceptional clarity and performance.
Flip out the 3.5mm connector like a car key with a click and switch between transmitter and receiver modes, depending on whether you’re flying above the clouds or cruising along highways. In transmitter mode, the Up Travel relays sound from a plane or laptop to your wireless headphones. In receiver mode, it streams audio from your phone to a car stereo via the aux input.
iFi claims this is the only accessory in its class built on true hi-fi-grade architecture. With Qualcomm’s QCC51xx chipset on board, you get a rich lineup of Bluetooth codecs including SBC, AAC, aptX variants, LDAC, and LHDC/HWA. Partnered with the Cirrus Logic MasterHIFI DAC, the result is ultra-detailed, distortion-free sound that dances with wide dynamic range.
There’s also a built-in microphone enhanced with Qualcomm’s cVc noise and echo cancellation for crystal-clear calls on the go.
Meanwhile, the Go Pod Air is a more budget-friendly version of iFi’s Go Pod, tailored for in-ear monitor users who crave wireless freedom without compromising sound integrity.
The Up Travel is priced at £99 or $99, and the Go Pod Air comes in at £249 or $249. Time to pack your bags and hit play.
