A new collaboration is set to strengthen emergency response operations through the use of advanced drone technology and real time intelligence.
Drone technology startup ideaForge Technology Inc has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) to integrate the FLYGHT drone network with the Emergency Response Support System. The initiative aims to reduce response times and enable faster and more informed action by police, fire, and medical teams during emergencies.
Under the partnership, drones connected to the FLYGHT platform will support rapid aerial deployment, helping responders gain immediate situational awareness at incident locations. The integration is expected to improve coordination and decision making in time sensitive scenarios.
The agreement also covers joint research and development across multiple deep technology areas. These include unmanned aerial vehicle systems, semiconductors, VEGA Processor chips, and AI powered autonomous drone swarms. The focus is on building advanced and secure capabilities using homegrown technologies.
Sachin Pukale of ideaForge said, “Integrating FLYGHT with ERSS will allow Automated Aerial Dispatch of drones to reach incidents within minutes and provide critical situational awareness intelligence to responders on the ground.”
The Centre for Development of Advanced Computing highlighted the broader impact of the partnership, stating, “Our collaboration with ideaForge opens new opportunities to harness drone-generated data for faster decision-making, especially in emergency response scenarios.”
Both organisations said the collaboration aligns with national priorities to strengthen secure digital infrastructure. The partnership is also positioned as a step toward advancing the Aatmanirbhar Bharat vision by promoting indigenous UAV technologies and reducing reliance on imported systems.
By combining operational drone platforms with advanced computing and data systems, the initiative aims to create a more responsive and technology driven emergency management framework across India.
