Citi has announced a key leadership elevation in India, reinforcing its focus on expanding critical risk capabilities within its Global Capability Centre (GCC).
Ibotombi Singh Longjam has been elevated to Managing Director and Site Head – Risk India GCC. In this role, he will lead integrated risk operations across Citi’s India GCC, ensuring alignment with global standards and priorities.
Longjam’s responsibilities will span multiple core risk areas, including model risk, credit risk, enterprise risk, and data risk. He will also oversee governance frameworks and the validation of risk models that support Citi’s global operations.
Longjam brings extensive experience in risk management and analytics. Over the years, he has held several leadership positions within Citi, contributing to the firm’s evolving risk strategy and operational strength.
This leadership move highlights the growing strategic importance of India-based GCCs. These centres are increasingly taking on critical global functions such as risk management, governance, and compliance.
The appointment further reflects Citi’s continued investment in strengthening its India GCC as a key hub for managing global risk operations.
