The technology ecosystem in Hyderabad has reached a new milestone with the launch of a Google for Startups Hub, marking the city’s growing influence on the global innovation map. Hyderabad is now the 7th city worldwide to host this hub, alongside Tel Aviv, Seoul, Madrid, Warsaw, São Paulo, and Tokyo. The initiative has been launched in partnership with the Government of Telangana.
The new hub will operate from T Hub, recognised as India’s largest startup incubator. Its primary focus will be on supporting AI first startups by offering access to resources, expert mentorship, and strong networking opportunities. The aim is to help early stage companies scale faster while staying aligned with global AI development trends.
Strong government backing was highlighted at the launch. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy announced a ₹1,000 crore Fund of Funds to support the startup ecosystem. The state government has also set a clear target of nurturing 100 unicorns from Hyderabad, underlining its long term commitment to innovation and entrepreneurship.
At the same time, Hyderabad is seeing rising interest from Global Capability Centers. Several Fortune 500 companies are setting up GCC operations in the city in 2025. This momentum reflects Hyderabad’s appeal as a destination that combines skilled talent, strong digital and physical infrastructure, and business friendly policies.
By hosting the Google for Startups Hub, Hyderabad strengthens its position among leading global startup ecosystems. The collaboration between government initiatives, corporate investments, and global partnerships is creating a well rounded environment for innovation, startup growth, and multinational expansion.
The new hub, supported by state funding and global expertise, positions Hyderabad as a convergence point for startups and GCCs. It also reinforces the city’s role as a major driver of AI innovation and a rising technology powerhouse in India and on the global stage.
