Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s recent visit to Japan has paved the way for a landmark ₹10,500 crore investment in Hyderabad to establish a state-of-the-art AI Data Centre Cluster. A tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Government of Telangana, global IT leader NTT DATA, and AI-first cloud platform company Neysa Networks.
Set to house 25,000 GPUs, this AI supercomputing cluster will be the most powerful in India. The 400 MW facility will run on a combination of grid power and up to 500 MW of renewable energy, reinforcing sustainable development while supporting advanced AI-first solutions.
The initiative also includes plans to nurture AI talent through partnerships with academic institutions in Telangana. “We welcome NTT DATA’s long-term partnership to drive the next generation of AI and digital services from Hyderabad,” said CM Revanth Reddy.
This major announcement further cements Hyderabad’s reputation as India’s leading data centre hub, adding to a growing roster of investments from tech giants such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), STT Group, Tillman Global Holdings, and CtrlS Datacenters. Telangana’s policy consistency, skilled talent pool, and efficient single-window clearance system continue to attract global technology players.
At the India-Japan Economic Partnership meeting, CM Revanth Reddy pitched Telangana as a strategic “China +1” alternative for investors. Key upcoming projects like ‘Future City’ and the Musi Riverfront Rejuvenation were also highlighted. Addressing NTT officials, he remarked, “On behalf of the people of Telangana, arigato gozaimasu—or in our language, Telugu—dhanyavadalu.”
