Hyderabad Cybercrime police arrested two individuals from Maharashtra for their alleged involvement in investment fraud cases

Two individuals from Maharashtra were arrested by the Hyderabad Cybercrime Police on Thursday for allegedly participating in investment scam cases. They participated in 27 cases around India, one of which was in Telangana.

According to officials, the suspects provided bank accounts to online scammers. Manish Dinesh Sonawane and technician Reynold Vincent Cyril, both from Pune, Maharashtra, have been detained.

Police claim that scammers recently approached a 40-year-old city guy on social media and persuaded him to buy stocks by promising him enormous gains.

His account displayed a profit following a sizable investment, but the withdrawal option was turned off.

He ultimately lost a total of Rs 17.3 lakh as a result of their subsequent demands for extra tax and conversion fee payments.
