HFCL Appoints Sunil Pandey as Chief AI & Digital Officer to Lead AI-Driven Transformation

In a step to enhance its dedication to digital innovation, HFCL Limited has promoted Sunil Pandey to Chief AI & Digital Officer. This appointment signifies a crucial phase in HFCL’s transformation journey—where digital is not merely a support function, but the essential driver for growth, agility, and industry leadership.

Since joining HFCL in 2021 as Chief Information Officer, Sunil has implemented a comprehensive overhaul of the company’s digital infrastructure. He has led the SAP RISE transformation, modernized cloud operations, ensured ISO 27001 & 27701 compliance, and facilitated seamless enterprise integrations. His efforts have established a strong foundation for a resilient, future-ready organization. His close collaboration with the Chairman’s office and leadership of a high-performance team of over 50 professionals have made him a vital architect of HFCL’s digital DNA.

Sharing his excitement about the new role, Sunil wrote on LinkedIn, “I am honored to step into the role of Chief AI and Digital Officer (CAIDO) at HFCL Limited. This transition aligns with HFCL’s commitment to leveraging AI for transformation and innovation.”

This change is not merely about adopting new technologies—it involves transforming how a traditional telecom and infrastructure company evolves into a digital-first, innovation-driven leader.

Sunil approaches this challenge with a unique combination of entrepreneurial insight and extensive institutional knowledge. Before joining HFCL, he served in technology leadership roles at Sterlite Power Technologies, JWIL Infra, and Adani Green Energy, and he also established AgileApt Solutions, where he developed cutting-edge SaaS platforms. His educational background—from MIT xPRO, IIM Ahmedabad, and IIM Bangalore—demonstrates his ongoing commitment to innovation at the crossroads of strategy and technology.
