In this role, Heidi will lead ING’s enterprise architecture strategy for its People and Hubs organisation, shaping the structural and technological blueprint that drives operational excellence, global collaboration, and innovation across the bank.
Heidi’s appointment follows nearly two years at ING, where she served as Architecture Chapter Lead and Architect at ING Nederland. In this capacity, she strengthened architectural frameworks, improved alignment between business and technology domains, and drove the modernization of enterprise platforms supporting global workforce and hub operations.
Prior to joining ING, Heidi built a distinguished career at major South African financial institutions, including Standard Bank Group and Nedbank. At Standard Bank, she served as Enterprise Architect, designing complex technology landscapes and implementing integration frameworks to enhance efficiency and scalability across business lines. At Nedbank, she held roles as Lead Architect and Solutions Architect, focusing on sustainable, secure, and business-aligned IT solutions.
Her expertise spans digital architecture, enterprise system design, information security, and business process integration. With over twenty years of experience in architecture, technology strategy, and project leadership, Heidi has consistently enabled digital transformation within the financial services sector.
