The Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff and the Space Applications Centre, ISRO, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the maintenance of existing satellite-based telecommunication nodes and the provisioning of additional nodes for the Armed Forces. The MoU was signed by Deputy Chief of the Integrated Defence Staff Air Marshal Shankar Subramanian and Director of the Space Applications Centre Nilesh M. Desai.
In a social media post, the Defence Ministry said that both sides reviewed the current telemedicine infrastructure and deliberated on the roadmap for next-generation telemedicine nodes.
